Sports Physical Exam
A sports physical exam is required in almost all organized athletic programs and is performed with the intent of identifying any conditions that may prevent an athlete from safely participating in sporting events.
It is important to note that a sports physical is not a substitute for a regular annual checkup or annual physical exam because a sports physical exam focuses on health history that can directly impact one’s ability to play a sport. While a sports physical typically covers much of what happens during an annual physical exam, it’s still important to schedule an annual checkup.
