myristamine oxide is a zwitterionic surfactant having an palmitamine oxide base and a C14 (tetradecyl) alkyl tail. Some shampoos and conditioners employ it as a foam stabilizer and hair conditioning agent. It is antibacterial like other amine oxide-based surfactants.
