There are more than 10,000 live tenders published in Uttar Pradesh as of January 17, 2023. The top-ranked spending area is road construction, which accounts for approximately 10% of the total advertised tenders. The government is focused on the development of hospital infrastructure, as evidenced by the 446 tenders advertised for hospital construction. Out of the 446 tenders, more than 50% of the tenders are published in the Auraiya district, followed by Lucknow, amounting to 18% of the total. About 40% of the hospital construction tenders are scheduled to close between 7 and 14 days from now. Only about 10% of the tenders are given more than 28 days for bid submission. The estimated value of the hospitals is predominantly in the range of 1–20 lakhs; however, about 40% of the constructed hospitals are in the estimated range of 20 lakhs–1 crore.
