My homeland is India, and I am pleased to be an Indian. It is the world's seventh biggest country and the world's second most populous country. It is also referred to as Bharat, Hindustan, and Aryavart. It is a peninsula, which means it is bordered by oceans on three sides: the Bay of Bengal in the east, the Arabian Sea in the west, and the Indian Ocean in the south. India's national animal is the tiger, its national bird is the peacock, its national flower is the lotus, and its national fruit is the mango. The Indian flag is multicoloured, with saffron representing purity (uppermost), white representing peace (middle one with an Ashok Chakra), and green representing fertility (the lowest one). The Ashok Chakra has 24 spokes that are evenly distributed. India's national anthem is "Jana Gana Mana," its national song is "Vande Mataram," and its national sport is hockey.

India is a country where people speak a variety of languages and where people of many castes, creeds, faiths, and civilizations coexist. That is why India is well-known for the adage "unity in variety." It is well renowned as the spiritual, philosophical, scientific, and technological centre of the world. Since ancient times, people of diverse religions including as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism have coexisted here. It is a well-known country for its agriculture and farming, which have been the backbones of the country since ancient times.

 

It consumes food grains and fruits grown on its own farm. It is a well-known tourist destination since it draws tourists from all over the world. Its monuments, tombs, churches, historical structures, temples, museums, scenic beauty, wild life sanctuaries, architectural sites, and so on are a source of money for it.

It is the location of the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri, the Golden Temple, the Qutab Minar, the Red Fort, Ooty, the Nilgiris, Kashmir, Kajuraho, the Ajanta and Ellora caves, and other wonders. It is a land of massive rivers, mountains, valleys, lakes, and seas. Hindi is India's national language.

 

It is a country comprised of 29 states and UTs. It contains 28 states, each with several tiny villages. It is a major agricultural country known for producing crops such as sugarcane, cotton, jute, rice, wheat, cereals, and so on. It is the birthplace of great leaders (Shivaji, Gandhiji, Nehru, Dr. Ambedkar, and others), great scientists (Dr. Jagadeeshchandra Bose, Dr. Homi Bhabha, Dr. C. V Raman, Dr. Naralikar, and others), and great reformers (Mother Teresa, Pandurangashastri Alhavale, and T. N. Sheshan). It is a country that combines variety with great unity and tranquilly.
