The 2023 Lotus Elise car is named in honor of Elisa Artioli, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli, who was chairman of the Lotus and Bugatti board at the time of the sale. The 2023 Lotus Elise first appeared at the 2010 Paris Motor Show along with the Lotus Esprit concept in the fall of that year as the “Lotus Elise Concept” and was scheduled to be presented in the next few years.
