Chinese Food in Marlton New Jersey

In April 2005, a Chinese chef from Hong Kong, who now lives in Marlton, New Jersey, opened his own Chinese restaurant. The chef, Joseph Liu, previously had been a culinary consultant to the U.S. Department of State, cooking for visiting dignitaries and ambassadors. But Liu wanted to bring his vision of Chinese food to a wider audience, and he opened a restaurant.

The Chinese food in Marlton, NJ, (a small town outside of Philadelphia) is very different than the Chinese Food in North Jersey or New York City.   It takes time to learn which dishes are authentic and which dishes are fake.  However, with the help of the Internet, it's easy to find recipes from home. In New Jersey, it's common to eat Chinese food with chopsticks.  Chinese takeout in New Jersey is also served in round containers (similar to bowls).  In New Jersey, it's common to order dessert with Chinese food.  In New Jersey, it's common to eat Chinese food in a restaurant that has a live fish tank. Chinese takeout in New Jersey is often served in plastic containers.
