Experience with GPortal?
Usagamesinteractive.Comand I play Valheim over our LAN, just the two of us. Right now, I start a game, I choose Start Server, then hit Start and we both play. As I understand it, this means that my PC is both hosting the game server and playing my client. I'm experiencing an annoying amount of lagging and stuttering and wondering if this is the reason.
I've been considering GPortal, which hosts Valheim servers, but I have several questions:
Can I take my saved game and move it to the GPortal server, how does that work exactly? I don't want to consider restarting a new world unless absolutely necessary. How do the logistics work of running a GPortal game, how do I connect?
Am I correct in believing this may improve performance? Particularly, since I take it this means instead of playing over our LAN, we will both now have to connect to a remote server.
