The "Minecraft Earth" Beta Starts Its Global Takeover This Month



We haven't seen much talk about Minecraft Earth in a while. It is an augmented reality version of Mojang's game that turns the real world into a playground of your own blocky creations. The company said a beta version of the game this summer and now, along with a new trailer, the company says it will be available on iOS within the next two weeks with Android following "soon afterward."



After experiencing live gameplay during WWDC last month, the release of iOS-first isn't a surprise. While this new trailer has plenty of information about how you'll play the game, interested players may be interested in revisiting the Apple demo to get more impressions of what it will be like to share a virtual Minecraft world with their friends that overlays the real one.
