Minecraft Now Has A Massive Working Version Of Minesweeper

Minecraft creators literally can't stop making new games and we're not going to be able to stop them. At the end of March we wrote about the player who recreated Wordle in the game and today we're bringing to you someone who has recreated the legendary Minesweeper with Redstone and an inexplicably large number of moving parts.

CraftyMasterman made the map and posted a Reddit post showing it off. The video doesn't reveal much aside from the scale of the device you'll be using to play the game, but it looks incredible.Emailis used to represent the numbers. There's even a tiny handheld map that you can look at while you play to replicate what's happening on the board.

CraftyMasterman has a video that shows how this was made. It is revealed that this creation was part of a massive Redstone build contest with the possibility of a huge prize pool. $10,000 USD was on offer for the person who came up with the most impressive Redstone creation.

While CraftyMasterman was unable to finish his project in time for the competition judging, he decided to go ahead making a bet on his fame as a redstone legend on the build. He continued to work on the project for two more weeks, going through a number of variations before presenting a final version to the judges.

Even as a seasoned Minecraft player, the complexity of the building is overwhelming. The builder must not only create the board, which is huge however, they must also display numbers, keep track of the number of TNT blocks within it, and randomize it in a way that makes the game exciting. Needless to say, it's far more than the average Minecraft player could do or have the patience to attempt.

This is a great illustration of what Minecraft can do. You can download it here to play in the world. Be sure to run the download through virus stuff just in case; always practice safe downloading.
