What are Private Notes & Mentions, and how do they work?


A private note enables members to communicate privately in the context of a conversation. While the messages are shown in the channel, they're not sent by SMS to the contact. They remain a little note in the midst of the writing conversation to assist you make an email about the proceedings yourself and other members. It could be beneficial to ask a concern to some other member and get a reply without leaving the page. For solo plans, you are able to record actions taken or conclusions after a discussion is finished.

A few notes on private notes:
private note are available for all subscription plans
The username, profile picture and an occasion stamp is likely to be displayed with the private note message to exhibit which user added the private note
Use the @ symbol to mention a member in an exclusive note. The active members names will show above the text box, you can select an individual from the list.
Text, emojis, and images may be added as an exclusive note
Private notes don't count towards your total monthly SMS/MMS allowance

Creating a private note
It's easy! You can use the global 'Create' button from anywhere in the application to take a private note:

Share your note
Since private notes have been in essence regular messages, you can decide to talk about them with whomever you'd like, crafting the privacy settings to your needs.

For example, it may sound right to fairly share the note above with Stan. In the event you wanted to publish anything that's very personal and shouldn't be visible to Stan, you may take two notes: One for your own eyes only, and one that's distributed to Stan.

Revisiting Notes
Underneath the performance review form there's a tab that highlights data from within Small Improvements. Your entire messages about Stan will automatically show up underneath Stan's performance review form.
