You can play and survive in endlessly-generated worlds that feature wide open terrain and a variety of enemies and dungeons. You can explore the world without being told where to go, construct massive dirt mansions, or dig a hole to hide from the mobs in. Everything that happens is down to the player.
There are two main game modes: Survival, where you have to explore the world, fight enemies and gather food, then construct your own home; and Creative, where you have unlimited resources and the ability to build anything your mind can imagine.
Nearly every single block on earth can be destroyed by mining, collected and combined in a crafting table to create new blocks, tools, and even machines.
The Java Edition of Minecraft has a large modding community. You can also install a variety of additional content onto your server. There are over 300 modpacks you can install in one click on our control panel. Tell us if you don't see the modpack you're seeking. We'll get it installed.
