Casino Math

Craps

Understanding the probabilities, or the combinations of dice is crucial to understanding the math of craps. In my strategies, I only want to choose the bets that offer the greatest chance of winning. These include the pass line with odds and come bets with chances.

The craps house percentage is the lowest among all casino games. The house percentage drops to 0.8 %... double chances. This reduces to 0.6 three odds.single player gamesreduces to 0.5 , and then to 0.5 .fun games to playcan also be reduced to 0.5 triple and ten times to 100 times the odds.

I am often asked by seminar attendees why place bets perform better than come bets. The answer lies within the dice combinations. To illustrate, a place wager can be used. If you place a bet directly upon the number 5, (aka place wager), you can only win on any of these four dice combinations: 4-1, 2-3 and 3-2. That's it! The bet is declared lost when a 7 is rolled. This gives you a total of 6 combinations. Based on just the dice combinations, it's 6-4 or 3-4 against you.

Let's examine a come bet. When the come wager is in the coming area, it wins with a seven or eleven for a total number of eight dice combinations. It loses with a 2, 3 and 12 for a total loss of four dice combinations. You win 6 to 4, or 2:1 in your favor for the instant win, and you lose 1. This means that if the come bet is placed on the 5, it has an additional 4 combinations of dice to win. The come bet that started at the come and ended at the 5, had 12 possible winning combinations, compared to only 5 for the place wager on the 5. That's a huge advantage. This analysis can be applied to every place bet.

When you consider that all come bets can be placed, the casino advantage is 6.7% for place wagers on the 4-10; 4% for place wagers on 5-9; 1.5% place bets upon the 6-8 and 8. A come bet, regardless of what number it is, is only 0.8% and has single odds.best games to playare available for the pass line, which has single odds.

To win in craps you must limit the casino's advantage. Also, money management will allow you to take advantage of all streaks. The Benson Strategies help you do just that.

Blackjack

Blackjack is the only online casino game where the benefit or disadvantage of each card can change. The game itself favors 4% the house, because if the dealer breaks, guess who takes the money. The house, of course!

Basic strategy can reduce the house advantage to 1.5%. This makes it an enjoyable game. With proper basic play and proper money management you could expect to show a positive return over time.

Additionally, simple strategy can also be combined with card tracking to increase the player's advantage of 1%. As more high cards remain in an unplayed deck or shoe, the advantage of the player increases. High cards favor the player, as they give them a greater chance of getting a "pat", and increase the dealers chance at breaking. The dealer must hit 16 or less cards. This increases the chance of a dealer breaking if there are still high cards.

The most popular methods of tracking are simple hi-lo count (good for single deck games) or card clumping (good for shoe games). Expertly playing blackjack offers a 1% probability of receiving a positive mathematical return.

Baccarat

Baccarat, like craps, roulette, or other casino games, is known for having a negative expectation. This means that the house is always in the lead. I don't mean there is a mathematical method that can place the odds in the favour of the player. This is only possible with perfect blackjack count (which is the reason they don't let players win a lot).

The way we win at baccarat is to follow the trend. Trends can develop in any random, or very near random sequence of events. You won't have enough lay to determine statistical significance, as these numbers depend on a lot of play. One possibility is that there are 50% more bankers than players, which would be very interesting.

Casinos have a lot of activity and statistical significance. They can't lose in gaming. They can only lose from not getting enough players or from typical business profit/loss scenarios. They do not lose on gaming. This is impossible. But it is very possible for the casino to lose to individual players. Because they have enough players, the casino can make up the losses.

This last point is very important. It is important because you won't be playing 24 hours a days if you don't play by the same mathematical statistics of the casino. This is eliminated immediately by our money management and departure rules. A bad play and/or lack of discipline will not win the Baccarat player.

Roulette

Roulette has a 5.26% advantage over the player. The reason for this is that there are actually 38 numbers on the wheel: 1-36 and 0 and 00.single player gamesare calculated based only on 36 numbers, and not the zero or 00. The single number pays 35-1. So, simply stated, the 0 and 00 are the casino's edge.

Over a long period, the casino will have an definite mathematical advantage.
