Sacred Heart Church


The Sacred Heart Church is a Catholic parish in Canton, Massachusetts. Founded in 1886, the Sacred Faith Church was a popular parish for both Catholics and non-Catholics. The first pastor was Fr. Brown. In 1897, the sanctity was officially recognized and the rectory was built. Afterward, a school was built, and it was closed in the 1960s. In the 1950s, the Sacred Faith lost its previous church to fire, and the current church was built.

In 1927, the Sacred Heart Church built a rectory for its priest. However, the construction of the rectory ran into labor problems, and it was not finished until July of 1928. At this time, Father Stephen Dalla Via asked prominent Waltham architect Aldo A. Minotti to design a new church. In response, Minotti accepted and was given free rein to express his own vision. The new sanctum was completed in 1932.

The Sacred Heart Church in Merrill is in need of additional donations to help with Christmas decorations. Volunteers can sign up on Wednesday, December 15th. The church will also host a Thanksgiving dinner, which will be held on December 20th at 6pm. For this event, guests are invited to bring a white elephant gift. Additionally, Saturday Confessions and Rosary will move to the sanctum on April 2, 2022.

The Sacred Heart Church in Bronx was originally a parish of the St.https://thesacredheartchurch.org . It served territory that was previously part of the St. Augustine's parish, and Father Mullen secured a hall on 165th Street and Lind Avenue to hold Mass. During the year 1876, the Sacred Center opened a wooden frame chapel at the same address. In the same year, the building was sold and rebuilt.

The Sacred Heart Church in West Marin is in need of donations. With so many expenses related to the building and its programs, the parish has a serious need for funds. Its mission is to provide spiritual guidance to the local community and to offer faith formation classes. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and on Friday, from 1:00 PM to 2 PM. After the summer, the church will be closed from 1:30 to 2:30 PM for a break.
