This mode will see monsters attacking you when night falls. You'll have to make sure that you have adequate defenses when night comes, so start building walls and a house as soon as possible. Weapons are also an absolute necessity in this mode because you can't run away from monsters forever. You will have to fight back sooner or later and you will need weapons to do so. As you explore more of the world and gain experience, you'll be able build more powerful weapons and armor that will make exploration safer.
The other game mode is Creative Mode. Creative Mode has no monsters attacking you so you can mine and craft whatever you want. This mode's goal is to unleash your creativity, create stunning landscapes and art.
Play with Friends
Minecraft supports both multiplayer as well as singleplayer gaming. You can try surviving and building on your own, or you can use Minecraft as a playing field to create your very own games with your friends. It doesn't matter if you want to build a community online or create a crazy death maze with your friends in Minecraft.
