My Story was Inspired by the Theme of The Event



Tubecon is an international community-driven YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and viewers in large-scale public events. Tubecon was first held in August 2014 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. It was attended by more than five thousand people. Since then, Tubecon has been held 25 times across four different countries so far (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with altogether over 120,000 people attending all events. [2]



Tubecon has seen an impressive increase in popularity over time and has also seen a significant increase in the YouTube and online influencers community. The largest Tubecon events have attracted over 18,000 attendees and included more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.



Tubecon's event programming was created in collaboration with local online influencers. It features a variety of elements like Meet & Greets and Tubecon Video Awards panels and concerts. Tubecon 2018 will be held in Finland, Sweden and Germany and letters of intent were signed in Romania, Latvia, and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



Tubecon's story began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to create an event in which their viewers and they could meet in a fun and safe way. [4]

2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 was held in Hartwall Arena, August 2015[5and attracted over 10,000 people.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon took place between 12 and 13 August 2016, The second day of the event being completely sold out. The event had all together 18,500 visitors. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden had its beginning on January 6, 2016 in Stockholm with more than 4500 people attending. They also did an autumn tour which began on September 9 in Vasteras and ended on the 10th of December in Kungsbacka. About 50 YouTube creators visited 8 cities.In 2016 more than 15,000 people visited Tubecon Sweden events.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon took place in Germany on 20 February 2016 in the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also available.



2017[edit]



The Finnish event took place in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted around 17,500 people. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain event took place at Madrid's wiZink Centre on February 18. The event attracted over 4,000 attendees and more than 200 Spanish creators. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was organized for the first time in Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. Around 2,500 people were in attendance at the event. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17-18 August for the first time. The theme of the event was "My Story".freddy's blog Around 200 Finnish YouTubers participated in the event. Tubecon hosted international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the first ever Tubecon World Meet. International creators included Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart who is also known as Paint, Softpomz and MrTrashPack. A brand new TubeCity concept was unveiled during the event. This allowed different categories, like gaming, beauty, fashion, and food, to have their own sections within the city-like event space. Tubecon introduced Tube Academy, a new educational track that was open to creators and anyone interested in understanding more about the production of videos and the business. [12]
