BBC Radio Manchester hunt most unique fundraiser

BBC Radio Manchester is searching for the most imaginative and innovative fundraising events.



We would like to know how you're raising money for this year's Children In Need.



Are you planning to bunny hop across Pennines? Are you going to make vow of silence for seven days? Maybe you'll paint your whole body yellow like Pudsey and keep it this way for a whole week.

One fundraising idea for the event will be chosen, and the winner will receive two tickets to this year's BBC Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena on the 17th of November, on a Thursday.

The competition will be open from 09.00am Monday 31 Oct to 21.00pm Monday 14 Nov. All applications must be received by 21.00 on Monday 14 November 2011.



All applicants must be 18 years old.



The prize is two tickets to the BBC Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena. Other expenses and travel will not be covered.



Terms & Conditions



1. The entry is open to all residents of the UK aged 18 or more which includes the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, except BBC employees, their close relatives or anyone connected with the competition. You may need to prove your identity, your age and eligibility.



2. Entrants are asked to send in the following by email to [email protected]



*Information about the fund raising activity



* A brief description of the location and when the event will be taking place.



All entries will be screened and verified. Potential winners will be visited by a member of BBC Radio Manchester. Other entry methods are not permitted. Only one entry per listener is permitted (if multiple entries are received from the same person, only the first entry will count).



3. The entry process will begin at 09.00am on Monday 31st October 2011 and will close at 21.00pm Tuesday 14th November 2011.



4. All entrants must supply their name and a telephone number. Illegible entries, incomplete entries or those received outside the entry window are not considered.



5. A panel consisting of members BBC Radio Manchester will judge the entries using the following criteria:



*Originality We are looking for unique ideas, and we will not accept any that have been seen before. A fundraiser that stands out from the crowd.



*Effort: Did you need to overcome obstacles in order to achieve your goal or was there a lot of planning involved? Did you get the support of thousands of people?



*Impact: Does it impress? Will people be aware of it? Do you have a compelling story to the fund-raising?



Each criteria will be scored out of 10. The winner will be the entrant with the highest score.



Anyone who has a personal, family or business connection to any of the panel members is not allowed to enter.



6. The BBC reserves the right to decline to conduct the competition in the event that an entrant is not able to be reached after making reasonable attempts to reach them.



7. The prize will comprise of two tickets to the BBC Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Thursday 17th November. There are no other costs or expenses that will be covered including but not the least, accommodation or travel.



8. The BBC will decide who the winner is. There is no correspondence in relation to the contest will be entered into.



9. The BBC is not responsible if the winner or ticket holders are unable to gain entry into the Children in Need Rocks Manchester event. Tickets holders are accountable to ensure that the venue has all necessary admission requirements.



10. Entrants must agree to participate in competition publicity.



11. The BBC will only use your personal details for the purpose of administering this competition. We will not share your personal information with anyone other than us, nor do we publish it. We will save all entries by email to a secure file , and will erase all personal information six months after closing of the competition. 12. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) amend these conditions and terms and conditions and alter the competition rules including but not restricted to closing and opening times; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules or has committed fraudulently in any way; and; (iii) end the competition, at any point in its judgment, if it is deemed necessary or if there are circumstances outside its control.



13. The BBC or their subcontractors, subsidiaries, or agencies cannot accept any responsibility for any technical issue or problem with any server system, service provider, network or any other device that could cause an entry to not be properly recorded.



14. These rules will be abided by to all participants.



15. The competition is managed by the BBC. The law that applies is the law of England & Wales.
