How to Turn On Dark Mode On Your iPhone

What is Dark Mode? 

A setting called "Dark Mode," commonly referred to as "Night Mode," places light-colored text or graphic elements on top of a dark background. Enabling Dark Mode on an OLED-screen iPhone (such as the iPhone X, iPhone XS, or iPhone XS Max) will also help you save battery life.   

How to Turn on Dark Mode on an iPhone

Log into your iPhone's Settings. The gear-shaped app that comes with your iPhone is this one. 

Tap Display Brightness after that.

Lastly, select Dark. This can be found under Appearance. This quick action will activate Dark Mode right away. 

Here are some extra ways to make your iPhone even darker if Dark Mode is not dark enough for you:

 

To automatically alter the brightness of your iPhone display based on the surrounding ambient light, tap True Tone.

To change the colors of your iPhone's display so that it is more yellow and less blue at night, tap Night Shift.

To make your iPhone automatically go from Light Mode to Dark Mode at night and back during the day, hit the Automatic button located directly below the Dark option.
