I was required to update Java this morning and was in a hurry. I went through the first page of the installation wizard, not really paying attention and then realized I should have been paying attention and saw that it would install the Ask.com application. Grrr.

I could have cancelled it but I ploughed on. There was no indication of the extension following the installation. When I restarted the browser, Chrome reported that the extension "Search App By Ask 2" was added!
I went through my settings for my search engine and didn't enable it. The site ask.com was added however it was not set as the default search engine.Pubgqa.shop That's it!
I don't like the fact that Oracle included an application for browsers during the Java runtime installation. I'm wondering how many children who installed Java to run Minecraft have this toolbar now?
