I tested a few times before, and I successfully connected to Turtle WoW using 1.14 after modifying HermesProxy to report the custom version build to the login server instead of 1.12.1 but as you can imagine, none of the custom items display correctly in the game. All custom items display red question marks without descriptions, and custom creatures look almost like untextured cubes. Modern clients utilize completely different file formats so it is impossible to apply a custom MPQ patch to them. Clients that have new clients can no longer use MPQ files to store their data. Blizzard switched to CASC many years ago. Make sure you stick with servers that are blizzlike like Vanilla Gaming or Kronos WoW for a great experience with 1.14.
Thanks for the feedback, i'd like to go with Kronos however, i was banned perma after talking about how kinda dead the server was for 2 seconds, and even banned from the discord, so there's no option of being free of the ban at present.

Best option is to sit and wait for the next release of Everlook. Looks promising, coming after the classic release of wotlk.
