ATO Slip Ring is proud to have been a family-owned company since 2012. Founded in 2012, Slip Ring began as a small manufacturing operation in a garage in Washington DC. Our original product was a component remote control kit that was used to remotely operate truck mounted cranes or excavators from the rear operator cab. An important part of these kits was a collector ring, which is more commonly referred to today as a slip ring. <br>We are a leading integrator of precision motion control systems and our products reflect the culture that our people embrace – a culture where the opportunity to solve a challenging control problem is always welcomed. <br>Innovation is how we grow as a company. We are investing in future technologies that we believe will have a great impact in industries from space, defense, aircraft, industrial, medical, and more. Our motion control portfolio has expanded to include all forms of actuation technology, sophisticated control electronics, and system software. Problem solving depended on their two resources: persistence and creativity. For us, the word “can’t” did not exist and they inspired everyone who worked with them to do the same. <br>ATO Slip rings were adapted to other types of rotating machines and soon ATO Slip rings became a leading supplier of industrial slip rings. ATO Slip rings grew to become a major supplier of motorized cable reeling systems to the marine, mining, aero-space, and general industrial markets.
