Rops stands for roll-over protective structures, while fops is an abbreviation for falls from heights protection. These two safety mechanisms are essential for workers who operate heavy vehicles or work in high places. ROPS can prevent a vehicle from rolling over, while FOPS can stop a worker from falling off a platform or out of a cab.
