How To: Install .jar Mods!

The way you describe on how to install Java mods is incorrect. The reason is because when you place the java mod file into the mod folder, it will perform as a standard mod until another one in another area of the ".minecraft" folder is beeing used. What I mean by this is:

1. Copy/cut the jar file, but don't put it in yet. 2. Open the versions folder, and create a new folder. Copy the jar file into the folder you just made. Copy the jar file in the folder once more and paste it again with an alternative name 5. Open the jar file using notepad. Copy all the text, and then close the file. The copied file should be deleted 7. Create a new file (most likely it will be a txt-file) and name it exactly the same way as the jar file is named 8. WhenPremium Contenthave it created exactly as the Jar file, save the file with the name as a .json file 9. Open the json file in notpad and copy the next you copied 10. Launch the launcher and select the mod you "made

10,5. If this didn't work, do these steps 11. Open the version folder. Select the folder you dont need. If the mod is 1.7.10 you will need to locate a folder running 1.7.10 Minecraft version 12. Copy the jar file to the folder you've selected. Change the name to match the JSON file. Start the launcher, and then select the version you want to use.

If you can't find the folder you're looking for, go back to the version folder then look after the last edited folder and change the name to whatever you want. I suggest that you rename the files within that folder exactly what the folder is called.
