New Minecraft Launcher Launcher Starts With A Grey Screen

System Restore is your first line of defense. It can restore you to the state before the problem started as the time machine. It is possible to undo it in the event that it does not work. You can read the guide first and then restore back to the point you were before it began. Do it now in the event that System Restore isn't enabled on C drive in order to enable it in the future.

If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...

Even if you've already tried these steps repeat them in the order I suggest:

1) Run the Store app troubleshooter at Settings>> Update & Security Troubleshoot.

2) Search for and install game updates using the Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots in the upper right) > Updates.

3) Reset Minecraft in Windows Settings > Applications > Applications and Features >Minecraft> Advanced Option Repair or Reset. Restart your PC and try again.

If none of these options work If none of these work, remove Minecraft from Settings, reboot your computer, and then install MS Store Hub (three dots on the right-hand side of Store app).

4) The driver for the Display is so vital that just updating it often not enough. So let's try everything possible to get it working correctly:

You can update the Display driver via the PC or Display adapter manufacturer's Support downloads website. This will provide you with the exact model number, HP Serial No. or Dell Service Tag - as indicated on the sticker that is on your PC.

You can also check for BIOS/UEFI firmware, newer chipsets, network, sound, and other drivers by right-clicking the Start Menu.

If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...

Display issues can be solved by rolling back or uninstalling the driver on the Display Device > Driver tab. Then restart your computer to reinstall the driver.

You can also test older drivers in Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick.

This will let you know that you've tried all options in addition to Windows Update drivers.

You can adjust the resolution of your screen until it looks great. Go to Settings > System > Display.

5) If nothing else helps then contact Minecraft Support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I hope this will be helpful. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have and keep me posted. If you don't like my post, I will continue to work with you until the issue is solved.
