The UK Civil Partnership Visa allows non-EEA (European Economic Area) nationals to join their same-sex or opposite-sex partner who is a UK resident in a civil partnership. The applicant must provide evidence of a genuine relationship and meet the financial and accommodation requirements. The visa is initially granted for 30 months and can be extended for an additional 30 months. After five years, applicants can apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and eventually British citizenship.
