Loxwood Clay Pits Profile Picture
Loxwood Clay Pits limited has issued a scoping report on its proposals of excavation of minerals( principally clay shell) and by Spring 2021, the company will submit a planning application to West Sussex County Council for permission to use their land for the purpose of Clay extraction for the use of brick-making, waste management and development of a construction materials recycling facility(CMRF) to provide local recycling facilities for the utilization of some of the recycled materials. The proposed site is located on the old Pallinghurst Estate, northeast of Loxwood and west of the A281. The overall extraction period is anticipated to be around 31 years plus 2 years for removal of the CMRF and restoration of the land back to deciduous forestry plantation with the addition of a fishing lake for the local community which offers an advantage for the coming generation who can avail the perks of fishing right in the neck of the woods.
