About
All our products require a 32 amp power distribution box. If you do not already have this in your home, we may have to install a new consumer box. Is your current box plastic? This means it is likely not 32 amp and we will have to install a new one. Your existing one will not be removed; the new box will be in addition and will be solely for your new charger. Moreover, 22kw rapid charge is only available for pre supply boxes.
When it comes to charger connections, there are two options: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 connectors are commonly used in the us for home charging on ac supplies. Some older european and asian models have type 1 connections, but these have been largely phased out. The eu now recommends type 2 connectors across the board and it is likely that this will apply to your new car. Most european ev charge points will have an untethered or ‘universal’ socket. This means that, in most cases, your cable should have ‘universal’ on one end and type 2 on the other. Visit our product comparison page to see a full breakdown of technical specs.
Fleets currently make up around 56% of the vehicles of our roads.
Road traffic contributes towards around 50% of our air pollution, which means that fleets alone are still significantly more damaging to our air than our power stations, domestic and commercial energy usage, and other heavy industry combined.
Moreover, with most businesses are under pressure from increasingly green-conscious consumers, we believe it is crucial that fleet managers and businesses recognise the need to transition their fleet away from traditional fuels.
Our technical team are available to answer any questions that you have, in the beginning, and throughout the process.
Charging installations can be completed at existing sites as well as new developments. Our solutions can be tailored to the current and future needs or your business.
For example, we can install systems which are small to begin with but can be scaled up as the business grows or the need for charging infrastructure changes.
We are fully open charge point protocol (ocpp) compliant and are accredited with the workplace charging scheme (wcs).
