How to Convert OLM to PST Manually?

This conversion may be done by configuring both your Mac and Windows Outlook with an IMAP account. We'll use Gmail as an IMAP account here. You must set up a new Gmail account and enable your IMAP/POP settings. You may then effortlessly configure both Outlook versions in your Gmail account.

Method to Convert OLM to PST Manually

This manual conversion process is divided into four stages. Follow each and every instruction carefully, one single mistake and you can lose your mailbox data. Thus without any further delay, let's start. 

Step 1: Create an IMAP account with your Gmail account.

1. Log into your Gmail account and go to the right-hand side of the screen to the Gear symbol.

2. Finally, go to the Settings menu.

3. From the Settings menu, select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tabs.

4. Check the IMAP Access status last. If the status is inactive, enable it.

You'll need to configure Outlook for Mac to use your IMAP account after you've properly set it up. To do so, follow the instructions below:

Step 2: Add IMAP mail account to Outlook for Mac

1. Launch Outlook for Mac and go to Menu Tools Accounts.

2. Select Email from the drop-down menu. Enter your email address, password, and any other information that is requested. After that, select Add Account.

3. After the aforementioned steps have been completed, check your IMAP mail account.

Then, in order to execute synchronisation between Outlook for Mac and an IMAP account, you must establish a Gmail label. Follow the steps below to do this:

Step 3: In Gmail, make a label.

1. To begin, go into your Gmail account. Then, on the right-hand side of your Gmail account, click the Gear symbol. Then select the Settings option.

2. Next, go to the Settings tab, choose Labels, and then Create New Label. Also, make sure the Show in IMAP box is ticked.

3. Finally, open your Mac Outlook and select Send/Receive.

Emails and other mailbox data will now be moved from the OLM file to the IMAP mailbox folder. Follow the steps below and import OLM to Gmail account.

Step 4: Transfer or move emails from Mac Outlook to an IMAP mailbox.

1. Launch Outlook for Mac and right-click on the mailbox item you wish to move to Outlook for Windows.

2. Select Move - Copy to Folder from the menu.

3. After that, click Copy and input the name of your IMAP folder.

4. To update the mailbox, go to Gmail and click Send/Receive or refresh the folder. This must be done after the previous steps have been performed.

All of your copied mailbox data has now been synced to your IMAP mailbox folder.
