Is Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune good for MBBS?


Introduction

The Medical College Pune is accredited by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and offers medical education at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. The super-speciality 856-bed Bharati Hospital is a Teaching Hospital affiliated with the Medical College, with the goal of imparting practical knowledge and providing students with unique learning experiences. The hospital provides free or low-cost services to a population of four lakh people in the surrounding area, and over 400 experts are involved in patient care. The General Medical Council of Great Britain has also acknowledged the college. It's also on the list of accredited medical institutes maintained by the World Health Organization. The College is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in 2014.

Important Facts

The college is noted for its research and consulting work, as well as its dedication to National Health Programs such as HIV counselling for mothers through the ICTC programme. In the previous eight years, over 20000 moms have been counselled.

More than 240 interdisciplinary health camps with over 50,000 beneficiaries were held.

The anatomy department plays a key role in the body donation movement.

Campus

Excellent infrastructure with ongoing equipment upgrades (new MRIs, lab equipment, ventilators, laparoscopic equipment, mannequins, etc.) and a new Rural Health Training Centre in Lavale. The college and hospital have a total built-up area of 69703 square metres.

Campus Hospital

Bharati Hospital is a multi-speciality tertiary care hospital with 856 beds. It has a multidisciplinary outpatient department (OPD) and an inpatient department (IPD) with super specialty services. Modern critical care facilities, an operating theatre, diagnostic facilities, a 24-hour functioning blood bank, and a pharmacy are all available. It is used to teach and train undergraduate and graduate students.

With DELNET and AICTE Consortium membership, the digital library has access to over 1300 e-journals and over 6 lakh unique papers on a variety of disciplines. IIT Bombay, the British Council Library (BCL), the Automobile Research Association of India (ARAI), and the Institute of Armament Technology all have institutional membership (IAT)

Admission Procedure Eligibility

Eligibility:

  • 17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year.

  • The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years.

  • All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or biotechnology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category)

Admission Procedure:

 

  • It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. All the Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities will be based on NEET scores and the seats for all colleges/institutions / universities will be offered through counselling based on the eligibility Score/Rank, Preferences of colleges and seats available.

  • Admission to Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College Pune is done through All India Quota Counselling as Management Quota 85% and balance 15% for NRI Students filled by College Management.
