Minecraft: Home Windows 10 Version Introduced


Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode (opens in new tab) wasn't the one huge reveal at this weekend's Minecon. Microsoft additionally used the occasion to announce a new version of Minecraft-Minecraft: Home windows 10 Edition. It will likely be free should you already own the game on Pc, or $10 if you don't, and it is based mostly on (opens in new tab)the Pocket model of the sport. The beta starts on July 29th.


Home windows 10 Edition won't boast every feature of Minecraft, no less than to begin with, but Mojang say they're "aiming for feature parity" (see above hyperlink). Xbox Reside and controllers can be supported, but won't be required, and it appears Mojang are aiming for dedicated servers further down the road.
