The arrival of Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch has been marred by Sonys determination to not allow full cross-platform support between the PlayStation and the Switch console.
The favored battle royale game was launched on the Swap on Tuesday, and will now allow gamers utilizing an Xbox One, Laptop, Mac pc or cell to pick up their Switch and carry on where they left off.
However, Sony has blocked the same system from its PlayStation 4 - instead asking customers to create a brand new account.
This Fortnite account is related to a platform which doesn't enable it to operate on Swap, says a failed log-in message inside Fortnite with a PS4-linked account.

Meanwhile, rival gaming large Microsoft poked enjoyable at Sonys stance, with its official UK Twitter account posting a message to Nintendo asking if the corporate wanted to play some Fortnite later?.

Sony has not commented on the incident but has blocked cross-play capabilities for different games previously, for video games together with Minecraft.
It comes as the E3 gaming convention opened in Los Angeles.
