How can you get the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft for no cost! (Mojang News post)
It appears to be an emergency post, however there seems to be no redeem button on the Mojang account page at the moment. I'm assuming it'll be there tomorrow upon release.

i get as far as a redeem button on microsofts account and billing page , but it says it has an error. Is there a deadline for redemption?
Windows 10 is being rolled out "today"/"tomorrow" depending on where you are. I would guess that the button will be available at 12:01 Wednesday morning Sweden time.
There is no Redeem button. Can't wait for tomorrow, though!

If you have an addon that forces https, you must open it in this case, because the link is only http.
Instructions:
Download the tool.
Run it and follow the steps. It will format your USB drive or disk, allowing you to install.
Open your drive you installed it on and run the installer.
It will be installed and activated automatically.
You can also save an ISO to use later, but you must perform an in place update first, so that your key is activated.
I have installed the beta and it is confirmed working and free.
I just got it. It's incredible to see how optimized the game is. My PC's fans do not bother to start up, and the CPU's almost always idle.
Are there any game-play differences?
If it's running well on mobile, you'd think it would run pretty good on PC too :)

It was just delivered. 22% CPU and 200MB on singleplayer LOL. #NEXTGEN There is a slight mouse delay, but it is stunning.MINECRAFTSERVERSwish we could edit more settings, such as Mip-Mapping or AA. Textures become mushy over time and the water glare can be a bit strange. Other than that I'm very happy with the port team.

I've noticed the exact same thing. Mouse acceleration is also odd.
It's a rough port at the time. It runs on C++ so it runs super smooth. It requires some work to be compatible with the PC gamers. It currently appears to be a mobile-based game.
I'm sorry if this is an uninformed question, but what do you know about it already? Did some people install Windows 10 early?
