Doodle God, launched in 2010 by JoyBits, gave a puzzle-game twist to the world-building genre. Doodle God grew into a series that included titles such as Doodle Devil, Doodle Mafia and Doodle Farm. Doodle God Universe joined Apple Arcade on Friday, joining the many titles available on Apple Arcade games.
In Doodle God Universe, you'll combine different elements -- beginning only with earth, air water, fire and earthto create new elements and items to your worlds with the help of puzzles, eventually creating your own universe, and helping to sustain the life that lives in it.

Doodle God Universe may feel familiar to those who have played the previous games, but Paul who is an avid JoyBits brand evangelist, prefers to use his first name to describe the game. Doodle God Universe comes with modern icons of redrawn elements 3D-generated scenes, and more reactions. There are also changes to the game's difficulty and speed.
"Easiness and speed are crucial for modern day gamers, and you can feel it in Doodle God Universe thanks to the latest animations of every action performed by players, a minimalistic UI design that makes it easier to use and an innovative scoring system that encourages players to search for new reactions," Paul told CNET via email. " The game is adapted to the style and logic of every player.
Paul states that Paul claims that the Doodle God series is an A+B=C style game. Similar mechanics are utilized in games like Triple Town, 2048, and Little Alchemy. These games combine elements from previous games to create new ones. The official trailer for the game shows that combining bird and fire creates an phoenix. Paul says that Doodle God's unique content and mini-games, and its puzzles and art make it stand out from other clones and variations.
The game also benefits from Apple's new hardware, like 5G and the A14 Bionic chip.
"The power of the modern Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, AppleTV -- as along with a variety of amazing technologies, such as Metal, integrated with the Unity3D -- all of this allowed us to implement all the most daring game design and visual ideas," Paul said.
For a long time gamers have had hours of entertainment playing world-building games such as Minecraft, Terraria, Terraria and Stardew Valley. Paul says that Doodle God Universe, just like the other world-building games, is about exploration and finding the unexpected.
"World building games can be fascinating for an incredibly long period of time, and a lot of players want tore-read Doodle God over and over repeatedly like a good novel," Paul said. "And in a situation where a person is almost always at home, what could be better than rereading your favourite book, watching your favorite TV show or re-creating Doodle God Universe?"
To enjoy the most enjoyment from the game, players picking up Doodle God Universe must be open to new ideas, Paul says. Doodle God Universe rewards curiosity.
"Use your imagination, let creativity be your engine," Paul said. "There is no predetermined pattern for the game. You can apply your thinking skills to mix elements or make them chaotically.
Apple Arcade has nearly 200 games, including Alto's Odyssey and Angry Birds Reloaded.
