Minecraft users can create their own servers. This has been an incredibly sharp sword with two edges. It's a low-res, bloated sword, however it is sharp on both sides.MINECRAFT SERVERSallow players to do almost anything they like which is fantastic. However, occasionally, they violate the rules of the EULA and can put Mojang in serious trouble.

"Some privately-owned Minecraft servers charge in-game items, for extra xp, or access to certain game modes. Some servers even charge quite a bit," Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson wrote in a blog post published yesterday. "I don't know how many emails we've received from parents asking for their money back, which is usually around $100. kid paid for an item on a server we do not control."

Mojang has formulated new rules for monetization to help prevent such accusations in the future. Mojang has detailed the rules on its website, but it's essentially fewer restrictions on the creation of game-related items or other monetized items. Be sure to inform your customers that Mojang is not involved in the sale of items that impact on gameplay, and that you don't charge real money for the in-game currency.

Oh, and another thing Persson's request "Herobrine, please stop asking." [Image: Mojang]
