Robots changing the way hospitality is being done in Las Vegas

From smartphones to self-driving cars, technology is entering our lives in ways we would have never imagined. To get more news about Robot Subscription, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.

In the next 10 years, many predict it will dramatically change your experience at a hotel or restaurant.

News 3 went inside a locally operated tech company that's taking hospitality to a whole new level with robots. In the not-too-distant future, the hospitality industry will be adding some amazing technology to help the workforce, not replace it.

Meet Adam, an entertaining robotic bartender, and barista being developed at Richtech Robotics right here in Las Vegas. At the present time, Adam can perform tasks, creating a perfect cappuccino.

Steps away, another Adam is being taught or programmed how to pour craft beer.

But going forward, Richtech says artificial intelligent cameras will transform adam from repeating sequences to adapting to its environment.

So, while Adam may have been one of the stars of the show at the recent Bar and Restaurant expo, Richtech says it has thousands of customers worldwide using the services of other types of robots. They use technology like AI cameras and lidar to perform the tasks, and even stop to avoid colliding with anything that might cross their path (pause) like a robot dog, tentatively named "Chip."

It's an evolution that accelerated during the Covid-19 pandemic and into the current labor shortage.

McCreery sees robotics evolution becoming more affordable and reaching households someday.

We spoke with the culinary union's secretary-treasurer about robots and technology.

Ted Pappageorge said his union covered that in its 2018 contract with the hotels with language that basically says if anyone is displaced by technology, companies agree to re-train that person.

If there are eliminations those workers receive extended pay and healthcare for up to six months.
