Avoid repetitive words in your IELTS essay

Many IELTS students mistakenly believe that they should never repeat any words in their essay. This is untrue, according to IELTS teachers. It is important to use varied vocabulary and grammar. In addition, referencing is especially useful when paraphrasing or finding synonyms for a word. This technique is assessed in the Speaking section of the exam. In this article, we'll look at some examples of when referencing is useful.

Another common problem students and candidates face is repeating vocabulary in production. This is particularly do my homework for me in the Writing section, where the maximum score is band 6. Here's how to avoid this common problem:

Use the words "it is" and "it can't be denied" sparingly. These phrases are overused in essay writing and mean "100% fact". This doesn't reflect the nature of the essay, as most essays contain opinions. It is also not appropriate for IELTS essays. When avoiding overused words, make sure to paraphrase and summarize information as accurately as possible. You should also use a variety of transition words.

If you want to score well on the IELTS Writing Test, use more specific vocabulary. Choosing less common words means you'll have fewer situations in which to use them. Examples of such topics are city life, family, education, arts, and transportation. A good usage of high-content words can earn you a Band 7 for your essay. Also, keep in mind that definite articles are not essential to the IELTS Writing Test.
