The Minecraft Server doesn't include any mods or plugins that enhance your gameplay. To install any additional items, you'll need to watch tutorials and ensure your friends have the necessary mods. However, learning to set up plugins is an excellent idea if you want to create an official MC server that can earn money.

No snapshot support

Minecraft Server supports the latest versions of the game and older. This selection ranges from 1.1 to 1.7.10 to 1.16.5 and further, including the Minecraft Caves update.minecraftservers.club However, the tool doesn't have any way to run a server for one of the many pre-update snapshots.

Only for Java

MC Server is a tool only usable for the Java edition of Minecraft, the oldest option for playing the game. This limitation is unfortunate as the Bedrock edition has many players who either have to pay for server hosting or purchase a realm.
