OSRS Gold LinkedIn that he's leaving Jagex after fifteen years

Osborne recently revealed on OSRS Gold LinkedIn that he's leaving Jagex after fifteen years of editing content, narrative design, and lead design. It was a decision that he took in order to "test his experience in the other business." Osborne is leaving Jagex and will be joining Square Enix on the publishing side, where he will be a Senior Designer. He'll be in charge of "some excellent games" beginning with Outriders.

The news prompted Redditor FatNWackyRS to contact members of r/Outriders with an easy message on Mod Osborne, describing him as the "warm, friendly "Dad" face at Jagex." FatNWackyRS describes the many things that Osborne has done for the community over time, including several videos, including being portrayed as Mod Elfborne to promote Prifddinas (an Elf City in Runescape) or joining livestreams and contributing to the company's vision.

While some communities and gamers might be upset at the loss of a famous company's face, FatNWackyRS invited other Runescape players to discuss their experiences. One commenter, notably, declares that they've lost and won because they play with both Runescape and Outriders. Others were excited at this announcement, even those who were not familiar with Osborne prior to this glowing endorsement from an individual in the Runescape community.

Indeed, exactly what will transpire on his side of the Outriders fence remains to be seen, but fans can be assured that plenty of good things are coming into the sport. Outriders' Worldslayer expansion is scheduled to be announced this spring . It's scheduled to release for this year and, beyond that, People Can Fly has a lot of other projects currently underway, including a new game with Square Enix. The question is whether Osborne is involved in that, though, is yet to be determined.

FatNWackyRS ends his post with an unassuming, heartfelt note to Osborne should he happen to see it Thanks for everything you have done for Runescape and warm wishes for his time working at Square Enix. "We love you, will be sad to see you go, and would like to OSRS Gold For Sale wish you the best of success throughout your exciting future initiatives from Square Enix," the Redditor wrote in behalf of the RS community.
