What is Crystex HS OT 20 and Crystex HD OT 20 ?

Crystex HD OT 20 vulcanizing agents are non-blooming and can make unsaturated rubber. Crystex is not soluble in elastomers and slows down the spread of scorch in bins. Crystex also stops the migration and tackiness caused by sulfur. This is essential for the manufacture of tires and other plied-up rubber products. Crystex HD 20 is the standard grade. Crystex HD20 was designed to improve flowability and dispersibility.

Crystex HS OT 20 is an unblooming vulcanizing agents that can be used to produce unsaturated elastics. It stops the formation and transfer sulfur in containers. It is anti-discoloring and thermostability. This metastable substance can be transformed back into soluble sulfur if stored in the right conditions. It can be converted to soluble sulfur at temperatures above vulcanization and behaves in a similar way to "Rubber Maker’s sulfur." It is found in compounds with high sulfur levels that exceed the solubility level of the sulfur within the rubber. This form of soluble sulfur can be converted to alkaline products. Crystex(TM), HS OT 20 is used in tires and other plied up rubber products.
