NBA 2K23 – You May Want to Know

This year's NBA 2K features the return of the Jordan Challenge, new features and improved gameplay.

This year's iteration is not one or two, but four cover athletes. Six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan graces the Championship Edition with his own Michael Jordan Edition. Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions feature three-time NBA All-Star Devin Booker. Finally, there's the WNBA edition of Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird, though it's exclusive to GameStop in the US and Canada.

With Michael Jordan returning as the cover athlete, NBA 2K11's Jordan Challenge returns. All 10 original challenges, including his legendary moments in college, Team USA and the NBA, have been rebuilt and five new challenges have been added. More details are yet to be announced.

A staple of many past games, MyTeam is back in NBA 2K23 with a larger set of customization tools to create an ideal team. This time, we can recruit some legendary players in any era.

This year's Player Builder is touted as providing "full control" for creating any type of player and ensuring everyone is "fun and balanced." In addition to the 5v5 environment for test builds, you can now also use the 3v3 environment. A happy change is that purchased animations now apply to your entire account instead of saving files. So if the build fits the bill, they can rig that animation without issue.

New badge system

Current generation players also have access to an overhauled badge system. There are now 16 badges per attribute category, 8 for Tier 1 and 4 each for Tier 2 and Tier 3. Higher tier badges cost more badge points but have more impact; conversely, Tier 1 badges are the least powerful, but also cheaper. Each attribute category also earns a core badge that does not count towards the badge point total. You need to meet the challenge requirements for each badge, and upon success, it can be used in the core badge slot. Badges are also seeing some changes compared to Slithery, now it's easier to avoid collisions and gather traffic to remove some like infinity points, hook specialists, etc.

Of course, for all gameplay improvements, it's all about MyTeam points, virtual currency, and everything you have. The Michael Jordan Edition is $99.99 and includes the game along with 100,000 POE Currency, 10,000 MyTeam Points, 10 MyTeam Tokens, MyTeam Cards for Sapphire Devin Booker and Ruby Michael Jordan, and 23 MyTeam Promotional Packs of 10 Offered with Amethyst at launch as a gift pack and two weekly distributions for six weeks. You'll also get a Free Agent Option MyTeam Pack, a Ruby Coach Card MyTeam Pack, a Diamond Jordans MyTeam Card, a bunch of MyPlayer Cosmetics, 10 boosts for each skill boost type in MyCareer, and two hours of double XP coin.

The Digital Champion Edition costs a whopping $149.99 and includes many of the same benefits as the Michael Jordan Edition. It also includes a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass, Michael Jordan-themed karts, and a 10% boost to XP earned in MyTeam and MyCareer. But this price is more expensive than the previous version, some fans are dissatisfied with this, suggest a cost-effective website at https://www.gamems.com/nba-2k23-mt to buy.

Finally, I wish you all the best of luck in the new version of NBA 2K23!
