How To Join A Minecraft Server On Windows 10

You can play Minecraft all by yourself. You can play the game by yourself if you're not a fan multi-player. However, there's an online-multiplayer version'. Users can create and manage Minecaft worlds online, and they can also play with hundreds. Minecraft servers are exceptionally popular though the servers for the Java version don't let players using the Windows 10 UWP version of Minecraft join it. This is another compatibility issue.

That said, you can still join a Minecraft server from the UWP app. Here's how.

Find Server

You need to first find a server to join. You can search online directories for active Minecraft servers. Look for ones that support the PE or Bedrock edition. You should verify the availability of the server once you have found it. Some servers are accessible 24/7, while others are not. A good directory should be able to tell you whether a server is online at the moment.

Once you have located the server, you will need its IP address. This could be a URL address or a sequence of numbers.

Join A Minecraft Server

Open Minecraft, and click the Play button at the top of the screen. This will take you the Worlds screen. Here you can select a local environment to play. You will also see two tabs. Go to the Servers tab, and click the Add Server button.

On the Add Server screen, enter the IP address for the server in the IP address field. Also, enter a name. This name does not need to match the official server name. It can be called anything you like to help remember which one it belongs to. Click Play to play right away. Or click Save to see the server in the list of servers.

The server connects with the server and loads your world. The speed of the server and your internet connection can affect how much lag you experience during game play. This has nothing to do with the game and everything to do with connection speeds.
Minecraft

To leave/exit a server game, tap the Escape key and you'll get the usual quit option. This is an online game so you cannot pause it. If you die, you will die. Your items can be taken by other players, and your home may be raided.
