"If You Build It, They Will Come: Essays on Creating a Society Full of Kindness" by Roger Bannister is an interesting essay on socioeconomic issues. However, there are a lot of topics that are covered in this book that don't have anything to do with helping the poor or anything like that. Instead, it seems to be more about promoting a particular political agenda. The writer seems to be saying that if the poor and middle class people can just get out and vote then the government will take care of everything else. That is unfortunate because the United States is one of the most capitalist societies in the world with a strong middle class.

The essay begins by describing Roger Bannister's view of how America was founded. This part of the essay is fine but then the author takes his rhetoric a bit far by trying to tell his readers that only voting will solve social problems. He even states that only a revolution would accomplish what he is attempting to say in this book. It is unfortunate that the author makes his readers believe something they know and see nothing beyond his own ideology.

The essay on creating a society full of kindness also spends quite a bit of time discussing the idea of freedom. Roger Bannister seems to feel that one of the biggest problems with American society is that the majority of its citizens believe they are "free." He states that anyone who believes themselves to be free has been brainwashed by "lies, propaganda and manipulative tactics." This is a rather arrogant statement considering that the US has some of the most freest and fairest societies in the world. Still, he goes on to claim that everyone in America is a victim because everyone in America is involved in politics.

Roger Bannister also claims that America is a melting pot due to the fact that we are all different and have different cultural influences. Further, he states that people of other cultures don't want to live amongst Americans because they want more diversity in society and culture. These statements are problematic on several levels. The first is that, at least on the surface, America seems to be a society where people from every different background, culture and country have been living peacefully together for over a century.

The second problem with his essay is that it suggests that social problems are caused by the unwillingness of Americans to accept other cultures into their midst. The United States is the greatest melting pot in the history of the human race. The US was built on the idea of individual rights, freedom and the rule of law. The US is not a country that has been built on ethnicity or nationalities. All races, religions and nationalities have come together in the US and built a powerful, united country. It is unfortunate that some of our nation's greatest social problems are caused by people who claim to speak for these various ethnic and cultural groups when they really only want to divide us.

Finally, the writer promotes hatred and violence towards those who wish other cultures to be a part of the US. The US was built by and for the whole world.i loved thisshould not be self-critical and lecturing other nations or telling them that they are wrong for wanting to build better nations for themselves. Americans are the greatest nation ever created in the history of the world.

The US does not owe anyone anything. We are not the planet for anyone to take credit for or be responsible for. This is an opinion essay and it clearly shows a lack of understanding when it comes to all of our nation's historical facts and the current political issues that are up in the air. The US was built by and for the whole world. Do not allow anyone to make you feel guilty for loving and respecting your nation.

A social media marketing degree can teach you how to write well, share knowledge with others, and show others kindness while at the same time promoting hatred and violence. A good essay on creating a society full of kindness would not be complete without the use of social media. If you have not yet signed up for a class, do so today. You will be glad that you did.
