Kursk State Medical University


Kursk State Medical University (KSMU) was established in 1935 in Kursk, Russia. It is one of the top choices for studying MBBS in Russia. With over 7000 students studying currently, the university provides top-quality education to 2600 international students. This includes 800+ Indian students.

There are 8 faculties in the university including medical faculty and over 65 academic departments. The university has awarded many graduated students so far including 17650 physicians in the Medical faculty.

The university is more than 75 years old now. With this much experience, it has now expanded its roots. The university was previously established as Kursk Medical Institute in 1935. It got its University status in 1994.

In 2020, the Kursk State Medical University established its International Medical Institute. It is a new division of KSMU. After successfully completing the medical course from KSMU, students get awarded the degree of M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) which is similar to MBBS in India.

The university is affiliated with 16 hospitals. These are the hospitals where students can do their internships and practices. With these many hospitals, students can get a vast experience of studying and treating various patients.
