JEE Advanced AIR 11 Refrained From Social Media & Mobile Phones, Started Preparation In Class 6th

Deevanshu Malu emerged as the top JEE Advanced ranker from Odisha this year. With a stellar All India Rank of 11, Deevanshu started preparation for the JEE in class 6th. His daily routine included 10 hours of preparation (including coaching), He also took recurring breaks/naps to improve his productivity. Deevanshu who is an ardent lover of Physics aspires to pursue Computer Science Engineering from the prestigious IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay.

He achieved an overall score of 285 marks in the JEE Advanced exam (Chemistry – 90, Physics – 98, Mathematics – 97). His strategy for success was to avoid distractions on mobile phones / social media. He strongly believes that dedication and sincerity go a long way in ensuring success in a competitive exam such as the JEE Advanced. He credits his success to his parents and his coaching institute, Allen Bhubaneswar. His father is a software engineer in Infosys and his mother is a home maker.

The JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Advanced is one of the toughest and most competitive exams in the world. This years exam was conducted by IIT Bombay and had more than 1.6 lac candidates competing for 17,000 seats across 23 IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology)
