Teen who was Crowned Dragons' Den Investment Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary

A teenager entrepreneur who won an investment of a staggering PS80,000 in Dragon's Den was arrested for being accused of burgling his mother's house.

Jordan Daykin, 19, was the youngest person ever to go into business with the Dragons when Deborah Meaden pledged the money in exchange for an investment of 25% in his business.

However, two months later the man was arrested after his mother claimed that he broke into her home and took several valuable items including Swarovski crystals and four televisions, as well as jewellery worth around PS4,000.

Permission: Jordan's spokesperson said that he was permitted into the home due to the fact that his mother had recently experienced an 'unexpected disruption at her home'. Above, Ms Daykin claimed that one of the rooms was burgled.

Jordan's spokesperson stated that he was granted permission to enter the home from his mother, and that Jordan was simply helping his brother leave after a fight. He claimed that the items they took were solely theirs them.

Maria Daykin, mother-of-two, 45, said she was 'disgusted by her sons alleged actions. They could be an element of a family feud.

She said: 'I had to call the police because it is a violation of my privacy. When I got home I found my house had just been completely trashed, every bit of furniture, TVs taken off the wall, everything.

"He has been nominated to all these awards. I think the only motive was to let me walk into my home and see it destroyed.'

She claims that she has lost all the furniture in two bedrooms, as well as around 100 DVDs and perfume worth more than PS300.

Jordan's spokesman claimed that Jordan was helping his brother move out of Westbury, Wiltshire after a row. He claims they took some of their belongings.

Ms Daykin claims Jordan, three others as well as Ms Daykin are responsible for the alleged raid, which she claims was planned. Above Ms Daykin claimed that Jordan and three other people planned the raid for the time she was out of the house.

Ms Daykin is from Westbury, Wiltshire, said the incident happened on the 9th of October. She said her son was quickly detained later that night by Wiltshire Police.

She claims Jordan along with three others had planned the raid to take place while she was away from the house.

After a lengthy interrogation, he was taken into custody and held over night. Then, he was released on bail.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: 'We can confirm that a man of 19 was detained on the 9th of October at around 7pm, on suspicion of burglary. He was taken to Melksham Police Station.

'He has been bailed until further investigations.'
