Are self driving cars close to becoming a viable reality? Are they good for the environment?

There is no definitive answer to how far away driverless cars are from becoming a reality, as the technology is still in development and has not yet been perfected. However, many experts believe that driverless cars will become increasingly common over the next decade or two, as the technology continues to evolve and becomes more widely available. Driverless cars have the potential to be very beneficial for the environment, as they would significantly reduce emissions from vehicles.
