Today's MMO Report is sad to report that it is without Casey Schreiner. All is well, Morgan Webb from G4 has taken over the reins to cover Casey's birthday celebrations.
The announcement that NCSoft will close the North American Lineage servers is the first order of business. Accounts that were inactive for the 13-year-old video game have been activated and the game will be free to play until the servers shut down.
Secondly, we look forward to the highly-anticipated Guild Wars 2 and the confirmation that Lion's Arch, a social hub that was featured in the first game, would be making its return in Guild Wars 2. Next up is some screen-time for Minecraft. While the game isn't exactly an MMO, it's clear that Minecraft has enjoyed a huge popularity within the gaming community. Morgan reports that Minecraft creator Notch is considering organizing an Las Vegas launch party... or, a convention, tentatively scheduled for November 11th.
Star Wars: The Old Republics Sith Inquisitor trailer was released earlier this week. It was described by Morgan as "the one player character you'd rather not meet in a dark corner," the class incorporates elements of both spellcasters and stealth classes into one, Force-fueled combination.
