This was sensible, and card counting is the only way to gain an advantage. Why can't we use card counting to make money in blackjack? It's easy. It is easy to identify card counters. In essence, every floorperson and pit boss must be able to count cards. They can tell if the deck has a high value or low, and then adjust their bets according to the situation. Three things the house could do if it detects a counter. Just leave it alone and let the game proceed and see what develops.
