How to find or summon a Minecraft Iron Golem

Iron Golem farm
Do you want to harvest iron from gentle giants? We won't judge you. There are many ways to go about it, but this is the way we do it.
You'll need to design a killing pit that is filled with lava, and water streams flowing towards it. Above the killing pit you need to set up your basic Minecraft village. It's as easy as having a handful of floating beds, some cauldrons, and a few blocks surrounding them to prevent them from falling over or escaping. A threat such as zombies in the vicinity is essential. Therefore, place one in a cauldron or composter and place it where the villagers are able to see. You need at least one villager to be panicked and you'll also need your villagers be capable of sleeping and working, so positioning can be a challenge. This is easier for a village that doesn't have to work.

Above your weird suspended village, you'll need a large roof or covering to prevent lighting to turn your villagers into witches. Also, make sure your Iron Golem doesn't spawn in your village. Instead it will be spawned near the pit. To ensure this, make sure all of your surfaces do not meet the requirements to allow the Iron Golem to spawn: buttons placed on top, hollow blocks, or blocks with nothing underneath them is the best way to go.
All of this together means the Iron Golem will spawn on the ground, move towards the suspended zombie, become stuck in the lava pit, and then die. Just place a hopper along with some chests beneath the pit of death and it will suck up any resources.
