Lego Takes on Minecraft With Video Game



Lego is taking on Minecraft by introducing a video game

Danish toy manufacturer Lego has announced a competitor to the popular video game Minecraft.



Lego Worlds is now available at PS11.99 via the Steam gaming platform. Its final release, featuring classic and contemporary playsets as well as well-known mini-figures, is scheduled in 2016.



Feedback from players will be used to develop features.



Lego already sells Minecraft playsets that allow gamers to build their virtual creations.IT'S UOOKA TIME And Lego Worlds will invite fans to do the same in reverse.



Tom Stone, managing director of TT Games, which will launch Lego Worlds, said it "embodies the physical, Lego brick-building fun that fans have enjoyed for decades, on a digital platform that offers a completely new type of experience with the beloved bricks".



"From the editor for bricks-by-brick, to discovering an expansive range of characters, objects and creatures that can populate your worlds - the imaginative possibilities are endless," he added.



Favorite toy



Daniel Goldberg, who has written a book on the growth of Minecraft and Minecraft, said that he "was amazed that it's taken them so long".



"Minecraft is exactly what Lego could have done 10 years ago," he said.



"I'm certain it will be a huge success for them."



Markus Persson, the Swedish video games developer who came up with Minecraft has made no secret of his enthusiasm for Lego and it appears to be mutual.



In the past, David Gram, Lego's marketing director, stated "Minecraft is a digital Lego. It's an excellent idea however, we would have liked to could have invented it.



Mr. Goldberg thinks Mr Persson also who is also known as Notch, will be "flattered" by the outcome of the game.



He claimed that Lego was his most-loved toy as a kid, and that it was the main inspiration for Minecraft. It was enjoyable to see things go full circle."



"I dont believe there will be animosity. In general, game designers are pleased when someone copies an existing title.



Lego isn't just designed for children, but also at adults who are collectors.



Minecraft, which was bought by Microsoft in the year before It has also managed to draw the attention of both adults and children.



Mr Goldberg stated that "the gamers playing Minecraft has proven to be quite large, so I'm certain there will be a demand for both games."



Minecraft is the most streamed game on video.
