An interactive whiteboard functions similarly to a regular whiteboard, but with the added benefit of allowing computer interaction and information storage. Similar to whiteboards, smartboards allow for more user involvement.
An interactive whiteboard (IWB), also known as interactive board or smart board, is a big interactive display board with the form factor of a whiteboard. Either a connectable device used as a touchpad to control computers from a projector, or a standalone touchscreen computer used independently to execute activities and processes. They are utilised in many different places, including as all levels of educational classes, corporate board rooms, work groups, coaching studios for professional sports, and television studios, among others.
